Veda means a mass of knowledge and is considered as the most ancient literature known to humans. Unlike any other literature, the Vedic one is apauruṣeya (non-human), i.e. not authored by human beings. Uninterrupted tradition tells us that Veda had emanated from Brahmā at the beginning of Creation.
