PETA India on May 26 lectured the dairy giant of India, Amul Corporation to shift to producing ‘plant-milk’, thereby wanting to make crores of families employed in the dairy sector jobless. The attack was carried under the garb of promoting ‘veganism’ and suggesting that humans have no right over animal milk.

On Friday (May 28), the Kerala High Court upheld that ‘sub classification’ of the Muslims within the minority community and disproportionate awarding of scholarships to them is not legally sustainable. The Court’s observation comes to a major setback to the Kerala government which sought to provide scholarships to Muslims and Latin Catholics/converted Christians in the 80:20 ratio.

For the last several days, Islamist propaganda organisation PETA has been targeting Indian dairy giant Amul, asking them to switch to plant-based products from milk. Responding to their appeal, today GCMMF managing director R S Sodhi asked who will provide employment to 10 crore people who depend on the cooperative dairy sector, if the company stops using milk. It may be noted that the Amul brand is owned by Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd.
