"I wish it to be remembered that I was the last man of my tribe to surrender my rifle": Union HM Amit Shah, "CM of the state is a tribal but this govt is anti-tribal, grabbing their land and deceiving the tribal community in the name of welfare schemes"

This, however, was not such a first case and Rubika was not the first woman to be entrapped by a person from a particular community

Absolute free pass by CM Soren to alienate tribals from mainstream

With the Shraddha Walker Murder case, a new conviction started floating which was ‘marriage being a personal issue must not be called into public debate or argument’. The left liberal Mafia remarked that marriage and relationship must not be a part of public discussion.

The thought process becomes sensitive when cases of Love-Jihad become a daily bulletin and slowly shift from prime time to just tickers. The hazard of Love Jihad is not just limited to the metropolitan cities, but has rather entered the tribal belts of the country too. The problem came into light when a tribal woman of Jharkhand, Rubika suffered the same unfortunate fate as Shraddha Walker.

Rubika Pahadin case sheds light on the menace

Days after the bone chilling revelations in the Shraddha Walker case, a similar case was reported from Jharkhand. It was spine-chilling case of grooming & ‘marriage’ followed by a brutal murder, 22-year-old Rubika Pahadin was murdered by Dildar Ansari and his family in the Borio Santhali village of Sahibganj district, Jharkhand.

After killing Rubika, Dildar and his family went to file a missing complaint in a bid to evade arrest.

Police swung into action after villagers found a human leg and other body parts being eaten by stray dogs behind an under-construction Anganwadi centre in Borio Santhali village. Superintendent of police Anuranjan Kispotta and other police officials reached the crime spot on Saturday night and sniffer dogs were also pressed into action. Soon, more mutilated body parts were found in an old house in Santhali Momin Tola area.

Police have recovered 18 pieces of the body till now, but the head is yet to be found. Rubika’s father claims that his daughter’s body was chopped into 50 pieces.

A total of 9 people from the same family – Dildar Ansari, his father Mustakim Ansari, mother Maryam Khatoon, first wife Gulera, sister Shareja Khatoon, brothers Amir Ansari and Mahtab Ansari, and their wives – have been arrested or detained. Dildar’s maternal uncle Moinul Ansari is absconding and believed to be in Delhi. Two sharp-edged weapons, believed to have been used in the murder, have been recovered from his house.

As per another Dainik Jagran report, there is a possibility of this crime being connected to human trafficking too. Recently, two minor janjatiya girls from the same community as Rubika were detained from a nearby hotel, along with one minor youth and an adult male. Some sources claim the two minor girls were related to Rubika. In the past too, there have been several cases of Islamists trapping young girls through love jihad/grooming jihad and then pushing them into the flesh trade racket – see thisthis.

Although this case has several disturbing similarities with the much-talked about Shraddha Walkar murder by her live-in partner Aftab Poonawala, the even more chilling reality is that such murders of Hindu girls by Islamist men are not new, but just getting more discussed these days as Hindus are slowly waking from the secularism-induced slumber.

As is the wont of all ‘secular’ leaders, Jharkhand’s CM Hemant Soren (from an ST community himself) has callously shrugged off yet another brutal murder of a young girl in his state, by deploying whataboutery. This free pass to escape harsh mainstream media scrutiny and piercing questions is available only to ‘secular’ (i.e. anti-Hindu) netas.

This, however, was not such a first case and Rubika was not the first woman to be entrapped by a person from a particular community. As per reports, there has been a spike in such cases when men from Muslim communities have lured and married Tribal women. This is being done to grab tribal land in the state and design a way to enter into politics.

Land, Politics and Power

As per the Chota Nagpur Tenancy Act or CNT Act and Santhal Parganas Tenancy (SPT) Act, land belonging to tribals cannot be sold to any non-tribal. These laws prohibit sale and purchase of tribal land to anyone who doesn’t belong to the community. Therefore, citing the loophole, Islamists with an agenda lure tribal women into marriage and grab land.

Further, tribal women are also being used to gain political power. Men from particular communities marry tribal women and make them contest on the reserved seats and gain political hold in the state. Reports suggest that tribal communities from extremely backward areas are targeted. The women, apt to say young girls fall in the trap due to lack of education and financial vulnerability.

Amit Shah questions Soren’s deep sleep

The Bhartiya Janata Party leaders in the state have been raising the issue since the time, Raghubar Das was on the chair. Goda MP Nishikant Dubey too has raised the issue. The 2014 case of national shooter Tara Shahdev also can be cited as an example for the same.

On Saturday, during a rally in Chaibasa, Union Home Minister Amit Shah kicked off party’s mission 2024 for the general elections. During this, Shah mounted a frontal attack on CM Soren accusing him of “looting his own brothers and sisters” in the tribal heartland ever since coming to power in 2019. Shah categorically pointed out crimes and torture being committed on tribals, especially women by “outsiders”, thus reminding the population as well as the establishment of ‘tribal asmita’.

The Union Home Minister charged that Soren has given the reins of the state to “extortionists and middlemen” while driving a wedge between “Adivasis and non-Adivasis” and “Adivasis and backwards”.

Adivasi, non adivasi, pichda aur adivasi, ye kya laga rakha hai. Jharkhand ko barbaad karne par kyun tule ho bhai. Jharkhand wale ne hi vote dekar CM banaya aur aapne CM banne ke baad poori ki poori Jharkhand sarkar looteron ke haath mein aur dalalon ke haath mein de di. Awaidh ghoospathiye janjatiye bachon se jabran shaadi kar rahe hain aur unki zameen ainth rahe hain. Main aaj chetawani dene aaya hoon ki ghoospathiyoon ko rokiye varna Jharkhand ki janata apko maaf nahi karegi. (What is this Adivasi and non-Adivasi, backward and Adivasi conflict. You have ruined Jharkhand. People voted you to power, but you have handed its reins to extortionists and middlemen. Illegal infiltrators are marrying Scheduled Tribes women forcefully and taking away their land. I have come here to warn you to stop infiltrators or else the people would not forgive you).”

Shah highlighted how Prime Minister Narendra Modi selected Droupadi Murmu as the ruling side’s nominee for the Rashtrapati Bhavan, who created history by becoming the first tribal to get elected as the President.

Listing the Modi government’s efforts in ensuring the development of tribals, he also said it has declared November 15, the birth anniversary of Adivasi icon Birsa Munda, as the “Janjatiya Gaurav Divas”.

The Home Minister also told the rally that PM Modi created a District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) fund to help the people of the mining affected areas, but the Soren dispensation has allegedly siphoned off funds from the scheme. “Jharkhand received Rs 8301 crore as DMFT fund which was used properly under the (previous) Raghubar Das government. However, the Hemant Soren government used it arbitrarily since it came to power. Modi ji sent these funds for the tribal community, but only loot has happened. Soren ji listen to the people of Chaibasa, who know everything that you are filling your packets with it.”

The question is of intention

The menace is not limited to the state of Jharkhand, rather has spread across the tribal belts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha. Further, a similar pattern has been reported from Nagaland too. Overtime, Bangladeshi Muslim men travelling to Nagaland have lured and married women from the Sumi Naga tribe, resulting in the emergence of a new tribe called Sumiya. And all this is being done to grab the forest land.

But what is different in Jharkhand from other states is the intention of leaders to control the same. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan implemented Panchayat Extension Act (PESA) to put a curb. Odisha too has a legislation, whereas in Jharkhand it seems that CM Soren is busy with appeasement politics of a particular community. And for the sake of minority appeasement, the JMM-Congress is backstabbing the same tribals, of whom they claim to be messiah of.
