"Better to live life open than exist on borrowed time, waiting for the great unmasking": Congress sleeper cells now coming out of their hidey-holes, after several years of backdoor support to Congress, Raghuram Rajan finally joined flop Bharat Jodo Yatra
Apart from the gory reality of the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus, ‘The Kashmir Files’ laid bare the truth of the governance structure in the country. There is a dialogue that goes as – “Sarkar unki hai to kya hua, system to hamara hai.”
|
It roughly translates as ‘doesn’t matter that they are in the government, we have our sympathizers in the system’. That dialogue aptly fits on the attendees of Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra.
‘Neutral Experts’ joins political campaign
After several years of backdoor support to the Congress party, Former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan finally joined Congress’ flagship political campaign, Bharat Jodo Yatra. In the early hours of the 14th of December, he walked briefly with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during the Rajasthan leg of the political Yatra.
Arguably one of the worst RBI governors of all time, Raghuram Rajan regularly took a partisan approach in the past few years. Rather than offering unbiased or constructive expert opinion, Raghuram Rajan had been batting from Congress’ camp during the peak times of elections.
Furthermore, when the Indian economy was faring better than the world, the Economist Raghuram Rajan prophesied a doomsday scenario for the Indian economy lest his ‘neutral’ and ‘expert’ suggestions were implemented. Now that Raghuram Rajan has come out openly to give ideological support to the Congress party, his ulterior motives behind those suggestions should now be obvious to everyone.
Even earlier, his assistance to the Congress party was not confined behind closed doors. He had been running pillar to post as a Congress foot soldier in the garb of an expert economist. He kept hailing Rahul Gandhi’s pet ‘Nyay’ scheme as some sort of a game-changer and indirectly a fortune-maker for Rahul Gandhi.
Additionally, he held one-on-one interactions with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on a host of economic issues. However, the moot point of these interactions was limited only to cynicism and whining about everything that the Modi government carried out till then.

Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra: A display of Sheer losers
Economist Raghuram Rajan is not a single case where a partisan individual somersaulted while masquerading as an expert. Even after joining, being expelled from numerous parties, then launching his own political front, Yogendra Yadav has got success in retaining his “expert” and “non-partisan” stature. Ironically, the agrarian expert Yadav was entrusted with major responsibilities in Congress’ political Yatra.
Just like the notorious duo, there are a host of other experts who has been carrying out their nefarious agendas in the garb of experts of something. These include individuals from all walks of life – art, cinema, academics, you name it, Congress sympathizers have infiltrated that system. Swara Bhaskar, Medha Patkar, and Riya Sen are the few that tops the list. Don’t be surprised if Abhijeet Banerjee, the proponent of the ‘Nyay’ Scheme too joins the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
It has to be seen that domain experts making a foray into politics should be welcomed and is a different thing altogether. On the contrary, Congress and its ecosystem were always quick in casting aspersions on every serving officer that has rejected to succumb to their pressure tactics.
It is nothing but a cruel scam to pass on the pure political read-out as expert suggestions. But now that these ‘experts’ have come out in the open they will realize the ground reality. Additionally, if they have any shame left, they will seek apologies for their elitism, baseless superiority complex, and how to cut off they were from people’s aspirations and demands.
