These shells, expertly manufactured by the Kalka Workshop, were then paired with existing coaches of the older design, and the newly formed units underwent multiple trial runs along the Kalka-Shimla section.
During these trial runs, the coaches were put to the test, surpassing the current sectional speed to assess their stability and ride quality. The exhilaration of witnessing the successful performance of these coaches during the trials further heightened the sense of pride and joy among the officials involved.
Following the successful testing phase, the Rail Coach Factory (RCF) proceeded to develop the interiors of the coaches in accordance with the new design. Addressing the media in Kapurthala, RCF General Manager Ashesh Agrawal proudly announced the creation of four exquisite coaches: an AC executive car with 12 seats, an AC chair car with 24 seats, a non-AC chair car with 30 seats, and a power-cum-luggage and guard car.
