Ahead of the upcoming Chalo Dilli rally at Ramlila Maidan, a Congress worker from Amethi threatened PM Narendra Modi with violent stone-pelting while also fiercely defending illegal Bangladeshi voters in India

As preparations were underway for the Congress party’s 'Chalo Dilli' public gathering scheduled for the 1st of November at Delhi’s historic Ramlila Maidan, a concerning incident was caught on camera. A political worker representing the Congress party, who had traveled from Amethi, openly issued threats of physical violence directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This exchange took place during an on-ground interview with a journalist working for the digital news platform Pyara Hindustan.
During the conversation, the party worker repeatedly warned that individuals arriving from Amethi would resort to throwing stones at the Prime Minister if the Delhi Police attempted to block Congress supporters from reaching the rally venue.
When the journalist specifically questioned the man about the on-ground preparations and the possibility of law enforcement intervening to manage the crowds, the worker did not hold back. He openly warned of a violent public backlash against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, making it clear that the crowds traveling from Amethi were fully prepared to retaliate if police officers halted their progress. Stressing his point, he repeatedly told the reporter, “If Delhi Police stops Congress workers tomorrow, the people of Amethi will hit Modi ji with stones, mark my words” (agar kal delhi police ne Congress karyakartaon ko roka, to Amethi ki janta Modi ji ko patharon se maregi, jaan lijiyega).
The reporter interviewing him immediately pointed out the serious consequences of making such aggressive threats on a recorded video. Despite this clear warning, the political worker refused to retract his statements and firmly stood by his violent remarks regarding the PM. When the journalist asked a follow-up question to check if the group had actually stockpiled stones for the event, the man clarified his position by saying, “We haven’t brought stones, we have brought our hands. We have come from Amethi, the land of Rahul Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi” (pathar nhi laye hain hath laye hain, Amethi se aaye hain, Rahul Gandhi ji ki dharti se, Rajeev Gandhi ji ki dharti se).Party Supporter Strongly Opposes Removing Undocumented Bangladeshi Residents From National Electoral Rolls
The interview then took another controversial turn when the digital media reporter steered the conversation toward the topic of illegal Bangladeshi migrants currently residing in India. The journalist directly asked the Congress worker for his opinion on whether the names of these undocumented individuals should be permanently deleted from the country's official voter lists.
In response, the Congress worker voiced intense opposition to the idea of taking away their voting rights. During his explanation, he essentially indicated that these illegal Bangladeshi residents are active voters who cast their ballots in favor of the Congress party. Defending their continued presence on the electoral rolls, he stated, “Not at all, if they are living here with us and supporting us, their names should definitely not be cut” (bilkul nhi katna chahiye, agar wo hmare yahan reh rahe hain, hmara sath de rahe hain to bilkul nhi katna chahiye).
Seeking further clarification on this matter, the reporter pressed the worker to confirm if these infiltrators were actually providing grassroots electoral support to the party. The worker confidently confirmed their active role in the voting process, responding, “They are definitely supporting, they will definitely support, 100%” (bilkul de rahe hain, bilkul denge, 100% denge). He then justified his defense of these individuals by adding, “Everyone is our brother” (Sab hmare bhai hain).
Before the topic concluded, he doubled down on his claim that these illegal residents are deeply involved in the local elections to support the Congress party, asserting, “Absolutely sir, they are definitely voting” (Bilkul krega sir, bilkul voting kar raha hai).
