An Islamist mob brutally killed a Hindu man in Bangladesh’s Mymensingh district after accusing him of blasphemy, according to a report by BBC Bangla. The incident took place in Bhaluka Upazila, where the victim was first beaten to death and then subjected to further cruelty after his death. The attackers tied his body to a tree and set it on fire, turning the killing into a public act of violence meant to instill fear.

Sharif Osman Hadi, a controversial and influential figure in Bangladesh’s recent political unrest, has died while receiving treatment in Singapore. Hadi, who was 32 years old, was one of the most prominent leaders of the 2024 student protests that ultimately led to the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government. A shocking crime has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district, where a man named Farooq brutally killed his wife and two young daughters and secretly buried their bodies inside a septic tank in the courtyard of his home. The incident took place in Garhi Daulat village, which comes under the Kandhla police station area, and the murders occurred on 8th December.
