The incident of rape of an innocent girl returning from tuition in a village in Agra has shaken everyone to the core. The shocking thing in this incident is that the accused of misconduct is only 11 years old and is a class 4 student. In this case, on the basis of the complaint received, the police have registered a case and taken the accused into their custody. Now he will be presented before the Juvenile Court. The 6 year old innocent victim is admitted in the hospital, where her condition is critical.

A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an 11-year-old boy in a village in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra on Saturday evening, following which the police apprehended the minor accused who is a Class 4 student. The police said the girl was admitted to a local hospital where her condition was stated to be critical.

Officers said adequate police force has been deployed in the village following the incident in a bid to prevent further trouble as the accused and the victim belong to different communities in the village.

In a village situated in the Etmadpur area of Agra, the local community was buzzing with activity as they were setting up for an upcoming village fair. Among the various attractions being prepared were swings, adding to the festive atmosphere. Amidst these preparations, a distressing incident unfolded involving a young girl, only six years old, who was attending second grade in school. This little girl, after attending her tuition classes, wandered over to the vicinity where a swing was being operated.

The swing seller, a young man, noticed something alarming: there were blood stains on the girl's clothing. Upon closer inspection, he also observed blood on her feet, which heightened his concern for her well-being. Realizing the gravity of the situation, he did not waste a moment. The youth, prioritizing the child's safety, acted responsibly by swiftly sending her back to her home, ensuring she received the care and attention she urgently needed.

After the young girl was sent back to her home by the swing seller, her family immediately noticed that she was bleeding, with the blood visible from her waist down to her feet. This alarming sight caused great distress and shock to her mother and grandmother, who were understandably horrified by what they saw. The family, deeply concerned and eager to understand what had transpired, asked the girl to explain what had occurred.

Despite her young age and the traumatic experience, the innocent girl courageously recounted the entire ordeal she had faced. With the details provided by her, the family quickly grasped the severity of the situation. Feeling a pressing need to address the incident and seek accountability, they decided to take immediate action. Guided by the girl's account, the family proceeded to the house of the individual she accused, determined to confront him and understand the circumstances that led to such a distressing event.

After the family returned home with the girl, they confronted the individual they believed was responsible. During this intense moment, the accused confessed to the crime, a revelation that deeply shocked the family. Understanding the gravity of what had happened, they felt compelled to take immediate action. Late at night, despite the hour, they made their way to the local police station to report the harrowing experience.

At the police station, the family provided a detailed account of the incident to the authorities.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sukanya Sharma, stationed at Etmadpur, took particular notice of the case. The fact that the accused was Muslim and the victim was Hindu added a layer of sensitivity to the situation, prompting ACP Sharma to personally attend to the matter. Recognizing the critical nature of the accusations and the communal dynamics at play, she made her way to the police station to oversee the proceedings.

ACP Sharma attempted to speak with the young girl to understand more about the incident from her perspective. However, it became distressingly clear that the girl's physical and emotional state was deteriorating. Prioritizing her immediate need for medical attention, ACP Sharma arranged for her to be transported to Lady Loyal Hospital without delay. Upon the girl's arrival at the hospital, a medical examination was promptly conducted. This examination sadly confirmed the family's worst fears: the young girl had been molested.

The girl’s statement could not be recorded by the police at the hospital. As per theFirst Information Report(FIR) lodged at the local police station by the girl’s father, she had gone for tuition classes at around 5.30 pm on Saturday when the boy convinced her to accompany him to an isolated place and raped her.

“When she reached home around 7.30 pm, she was bleeding and somehow told us what happened. She knows the accused. We took her to the hospital and rushed towards the boy’s house and handed him over to the police,” the father said in the FIR.

As per the lodged at Etmadpur police station by the girl's father, she had gone for tuition classes in her village on Saturday when the boy took her to an isolated place and violated her. In the FIR, the girl's father stated: "When my daughter reached home around 7.30pm, she was bleeding and somehow told us what she had gone through. She knows the accused boy. We took her to hospital and then went to the boy's house and handed him over to police."

Deputy commissioner of police Sonam Kumar said, "The girl's condition remains unstable and doctors at SN Medical College are attending to her. Medical examination has confirmed rape. Forensic team also collected samples from the crime scene. The accused has been booked under various IPC sections, including under the Pocso Act, and has been sent to a juvenile home following the court order." A senior cop, privy to the case, said that in his confession, the accused claimed that another boy who was with him had raped the girl.

Accused learned from home environment: Psychiatrist

The police, seeking to understand the motivations behind the troubling actions of an 11-year-old accused boy, initiated a process where he was counseled by a psychiatrist. This step was taken to delve into the root causes of his behavior, looking for answers to pressing questions about his influences and the potential impact of his actions.

During an extensive conversation with the boy, the psychiatrist learned about the challenging conditions in his home. The details revealed indicated a less-than-ideal living situation. The boy's father is a goat herder, a job that implies a modest lifestyle for the family. In their small home, the boy lives with his three siblings, where familial conflicts are a common occurrence. This environment is further strained by the father's negligence towards the children, lacking in the care and attention they require.

The psychiatrist assessed that the boy's behavior was influenced by his surroundings and peer interactions. He frequently associated with older boys, whose conversations and behaviors were inappropriate and harmful. These interactions, as per the psychiatrist's observations, have had a significant negative impact on the boy's mentality, leading him astray from normal behavioral standards.

Given these findings, the psychiatrist emphasized to the police the critical need for ongoing counseling. This intervention aims to address and amend the boy's distorted perceptions and guide him towards healthier behavior patterns. The interaction with older peers, who discuss and engage in negative activities, has been identified as a core factor corrupting the child's mentality, necessitating structured and continuous psychological support to rectify his behavior.

Policemen were surprised to hear the answer of the accused

The police encountered an unexpected reaction from the accused boy during the investigation process. Initially, he chose to remain silent, especially when questioned in the presence of female police officers. This behavior puzzled the authorities, prompting them to probe further. Despite repeated questioning, the boy was reluctant to speak openly about his actions.

Eventually, the boy expressed his reluctance to discuss the matter in front of the women, stating, "It was a dirty thing. Women will not like it if I tell. First remove them from here." This comment provided insight into the boy's perception of the incident and his consideration of the sensitivities involved in discussing such matters, especially in the presence of female officers. It highlighted his awareness of the nature of his actions and the potential discomfort his words might cause to the female listeners. This interaction shed light on the boy's understanding of the gravity of his actions

Another boy supported me

In a significant development during the interrogation, the accused boy remained silent until the female police officers were asked to leave the room. Once the environment was altered to his request, he began to communicate more openly with the investigators. He revealed a crucial piece of information, stating, "He was not alone. There was another boy with him. Both of them had misbehaved with the girl." This admission brought a new dimension to the case, suggesting that the incident involved more than one individual, contrary to the initial belief based on the victim's account, which mentioned only one perpetrator.

This new information has led the police to reconsider the details of the case. They are now in a state of anticipation, waiting for the victim to fully regain consciousness. The police believe that once the victim is able to communicate effectively, they will be able to have a comprehensive conversation with her to clarify the events and ascertain the exact number of individuals involved. At this juncture, despite the boy's claim of an accomplice, the police are inclined to believe that he acted alone, especially since the victim had identified him by name in her account. This contradiction between the accused's statement and the victim's testimony has added a layer of complexity to the investigation, necessitating further inquiry to unravel the truth.
