BJP’s aim to restore the Sanatan faith, glorious history and pride of India: ‘How can Mathura-Vrindavan be left behind,’ says Yogi Adityanath ahead of visiting Krishna Janmabhoomi
Ahead of his visit to Mathura Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took to Twitter to say how Brij Teerth Vikas Parishad is working to restore the glory of Mathura-Vrindavan.

In a tweet, he said that BJP aims to restore the Sanatan faith, glorious history, and pride of India. “In Ayodhya, the mandir of Prabhu Shri Ram and Kashi Bhagwan Vishwnath’s dhaam are being constructed. Then how can Mathura and Vrindavan be left behind?” he tweeted. He added that Brij Teerth Vikas Parishad is working towards the same.
Mathura is the birthplace of Shree Krishna and is known as the Krishna Janmabhoomi. Right next to the Krishna Janmabhoomi temple is the Mughal era Shahi Eidgah mosque.
Yogi Adityanath will be on a visit to Mathura today ahead of the first phase of voting in upcoming state assembly elections where Mathura will go to the polls. He is expected to hold several jan sabhas and address people.

UP Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad
UP Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad has been constituted under the Uttar Pradesh Braj Niyojan Aur Vikas Board (sanshodhan) Adhiniyam 2017 (U.P. Act No. 3 of 2017) for the preparation of a plan for preserving, developing, and maintaining the aesthetic quality of Braj heritage in all hues - cultural, ecological and architectural, co-coordinating and monitoring the implementation of such plan and for evolving harmonized policies for integrated tourism development and heritage conservation and management in the region, giving advice and guidance to any department/local body/authority in the district of Mathura in respect of any plan, project or development proposals which affects or is likely to affect the heritage resource of the Braj Region and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto
Braj Development Plan
The Braj Development Plan shall be a written statement and shall be accompanied by such maps, diagrams, illustrations, and descriptive matters, as thee Board any deem appropriate for the purpose of explaining or illustration and the descriptive matter shall be deemed to be a part of the Braj Development Plan.
The Braj Development Plan shall indicate the manner in which the development activities in the Braj region shall be carried out or conservation and such other matters as are likely to have an important influence on the development of the tourism in Braj region and conservation of Braj Heritage and every such Plan shall include the following elements needed to promote the growth of tourism and balanced development of the Braj Region, namely-
- The police in relation to land-use and the allocation of land for different uses
- The proposals for major urban settlement patterns and architectural regulations.
- The proposal for providing a suitable economic base for future growth.
- The proposals regarding transport and communications including railways and arterial roads serving the region.
- The proposals for the supply of drinking water and for drainage.
- Indication of the areas which require immediate development as "priority areas".
- The proposals for concerted efforts to professionally enhance awareness and interest in intangible cultural heritage, safeguarding, promoting, and propagating it systematically.
- Such other matter as may be included by the Board with the concurrence of the Participating Departments for the proper planning for the growth and balanced development of the Braj region.
