Daan: Dr. Arvind Goyal donates Rs. 600 cr property to help UP’s poor

Dr. Arvind Goyal (Goel), a medical practitioner from Moradabad has donated his entire property to the Uttar Pradesh government to help the poor. The value of his entire property is close to Rs 600 crore. He has been working for the past 50 years.

Talking to reporters, Dr. Goyal said that he had taken this decision about 25 years ago. Goyal had provided free facilities to the people by adopting 50 villages of Moradabad during the lockdown. He had even arranged free education and better treatment for the poor in the state.

He has been honored four times by Bharat’s Presidents, including President Ram Nath Kovind, former Presidents Pranab Mukherjee, Pratibha Devi Patil, and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Dr. Arvind Goyal and his wife Renu have two sons and a daughter. The moving story of the many ways in which he helps the needy can be read here.

This generous act by Dr. Goyal is symbolic of the millennia-old practices of daan (giving) and sewa (service), integral parts of Hindu Dharma. Wealthy Hindus donating a major chunk of their property for schools, temples, dharmashalas (rest houses) and other public works was common in our society till Independence and a few decades after.

However, post-independence the stifling influence of Nehruvian secularism over our polity gradually gave a negative connotation to anything Dharmic. As our business families and other elites grew increasingly Westernized, they started gravitating towards global liberal causes and started aping Western philanthropy.

In a bid to seek the approval of their peers and Western audiences, wealthy Hindus today fund chairs in American universities and pour millions into foundations aligned to Western intellectual frameworks. They are unaware or indifferent to the nefarious goals and linkages of Western philanthropy, which is often a front for pushing Western geopolitical agendas. The problem has become especially acute in the last decade and a half. One example of a non-profit funded by top Indian business houses which are aiding BreakingIndia forces, inadvertently or otherwise, is IPSMF.

So philanthropy of the type exhibited by Dr. Goyal is welcome. But one important caveat here is that instead of donating it to the government – a representative of the secular state dominated and controlled by our deracinated elite – Dr. Goyal should have considered donating to a Dharmic foundation or trust, arguably one dedicated to supporting the Hindus of western UP who are fighting a grim existential battle in the face of various modes of Islamist aggression.

The UP govt is currently headed by a staunch Hindu, but the government apparatus CM Yogi Adityanath controls is still steeped in ‘secular’, i.e Hinduphobic, values. Even Yogi is unable to stem the diversion of govt funds for disastrous programs like madrassa ‘modernization’ and minority-only scholarship and other schemes. In our fickle and flawed multi-party democracy, we could easily have a ‘secular’ coalition govt in power after the next election, with land sharks like Azam Khan back in the saddle. Hindus and other Dharmics need to develop foresight and understand the magnitude of the threat they are facing and act accordingly.

Hundreds of orphanages and schools run across the country

Dr. Goyal has already become famous for doing social service work. With their help, hundreds of old age homes, orphanages, and free health centers are being run across the country for the last 20 years. Along with this, poor children are being given free education in the schools running with their help.

Even in the Kovid lockdown, by adopting about 50 villages, he provided free food and medicine to the people.

There is a bungalow of Dr. Arvind Kumar Goel in Moradabad’s Civil Lines. The doors of his house are always open for the needy. Apart from this, there is hardly any big political personality of the country on the doorstep of the famous industrialist, who has not given attendance.

On Monday night, as soon as he announced to donate everything, he was the only one discussed in the whole city. From Tuesday morning, people started gathering at his bungalow.

His wife and children also supported the decision

Dr. Arvind Kumar Goel is survived by his wife Renu Goyal besides his two sons and a daughter. His elder son Madhur Goyal lives in Mumbai. Younger son Shubham Prakash Goyal lives in Moradabad and helps his father in social service and business.

The daughter lives in Bareilly after marriage. At present, Dr. Goyal is not available to comment on this decision. His sons or any family member could not be contacted either. However, the three children and wife have welcomed his decision.

Said- I do not trust life, so the decision was taken

Dr. Arvind Goyal said that he wants all his capital to be used in the service of the poor. He said that he has already dedicated his life in the name of society and the country. There is no trust in life. That’s why he wants to hand over his property to the right hands only while he is alive. With this, he will be able to help orphans and poor people. That is why he has decided to donate his entire property to the state government.

Parents freedom fighter, Brother-in-law has been the Chief Election Commissioner of the country

Dr. Arvind Kumar Goel was born in Moradabad. His father Pramod Kumar and mother Shakuntala Devi were freedom fighters. His brother-in-law Sushil Chandra has been the Chief Election Commissioner of the country. Before this, he has also been the chairman of Income Tax ie CBDT. His son-in-law is a colonel in the army and his father-in-law was a judge.

The spirit of social service of Dr. Arvind Kumar Goyal has been honored in many forums in the country and the world. Current President Ram Nath Kovind, former President Pranab Mukherjee, former President Pratibha Devi Patil, and former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam have honored him for social service. Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has also honored Dr. Goyal for his service work.

Bollywood has also saluted the spirit, from the Bollywood industry to the cricket stars, Dr. Goyal has saluted the spirit of social service. From Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan to the great cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, he has been honored.

Thousands of poor believe that he is Messiah

Arvind Goyal is no less than a messiah for thousands of poor in Moradabad. Hundreds of destitute and orphans living in old age homes and orphanages here call him God. Arvind Goyal’s routine has never changed in the last 20 years.

People living in the hope of help are sure that their Messiah will come in the storm, rain, and storm. He leaves with scooty at 5 o’clock in the morning. Then at 9 o’clock in all the poor settlements, hospitals, and villages of the city, they return to the bungalow at 9 o’clock in the night.

When a destitute elderly person was seen on the road, he left it in his old age home after sitting on a scooty. If orphaned children were found, then they got admission to the orphanage and their school. From the hawkers to the auto-rickshaw drivers, they have a firm belief that in winter, an angel will reach them by scooty carrying warm clothes, blankets, and sweets on festivals. In the absence of money, finding people wandering for treatment and paying the full bill for their treatment, as if it has been a hobby of Dr. Goyal.

Dr. Goyal is counted not only in Moradabad but also among the well-known industrialists of the state. They have schools and colleges in different parts of the country as well as the state. Despite being the top industrialist of Moradabad, he lives a very simple life.

He is seen helping the helpless people by roaming around the city or the streets on a scooty every day.

Danveer is being compared to Karna on social media

People are appreciating his move on social media as soon as he announces that he has donated everything. Many users write that industrialists are silent on this donation. Many are comparing him with Danveer Karna. One user wrote, “Dr. This step of Goyal is a mirror for the society. The rest of the capitalists should also take inspiration from them and think about society and the country.

A committee of five members will monitor

Dr. Goyal has expressed his desire to the state government that a five-member committee should be formed to make good use of the money for the poor by selling his property. He will nominate three members for it. The remaining two will be nominated by the government. This committee will sell the entire property at the right rate and make arrangements for free education and medical treatment for the orphans and destitute people with the money coming from it.
