In several villages across the Dharampur and Kaprada talukas of Valsad district, a growing concern has prompted Hindu residents to approach the local administration. Over the past few days, applications have been submitted to the Mamlatdar’s office with a clear demand. The villagers are asking that permission to celebrate Christmas on December 25 should be granted only to those individuals who are officially recorded as Christians in government records.

A group of Hindu devotees approached the Madras High Court on Wednesday, 17th December, raising strong objections against the conduct of the Tamil Nadu government and its Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department. They told the court that the Commissioner of the HR&CE Department has shown “undisguised scorn and contempt” towards the Hindu faith, which, according to them, reflects a deeper disregard for their religious beliefs and practices.

A shocking crime has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district, where a man named Farooq brutally killed his wife and two young daughters and secretly buried their bodies inside a septic tank in the courtyard of his home. The incident took place in Garhi Daulat village, which comes under the Kandhla police station area, and the murders occurred on 8th December.

On 16th December, Tuesday, the Election Commission released the draft electoral rolls of West Bengal after completing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Election officials explained that the deletions were carried out for several reasons, including death, migration, and the non-submission of enumeration forms during the verification process.
