On August 26, 6 cows and 4 calves died at Amba in Partur taluka of Jalna district after being struck by electrocution on a farm. Due to this incident which took place on the day of Bhar Pola, the villagers observed grief without celebrating the Pola festival. Those dead cows were cremated on August 27 by Sashrunayan in the presence of Police Inspector Shamsunder Kauthle.

The funeral was attended by the villagers and women of Amba village. On the day of Polya, a pang of sadness spread over Amba village. The women sisters of Amba village literally burst into tears during the cremation of these dead cows. What is special is that every woman in the village worshiped these dead cows and bid farewell to them by wearing 700 to 800 sarees. At this time, a large pile of sarees was seen. It is a tradition here to sacrifice a cow to Bageshwari Mata, the shrine of the village.

As many as 19 cows and 6 calves were given fodder and food from every house in the village. Everyone in the village was expressing grief due to the death of 6 cows and 4 calves in the hive. The entire villagers attended the funeral as if someone from their own family had passed away.

On the day of the Ain Pola festival, the police registered a case and arrested Latif Shaikh who was responsible for the heart-wrenching incident and who illegally connected the wire and released electricity. Due to the death of cows due to negligence, the accused was produced in the District Sessions Court and remanded in judicial custody.

Consuming poison-laced fodder caused the death of 25 cows of Gaushala in Amroha’s Santhalpu

In Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha, dozens of cows have reportedly died after consuming fodder that was poison-laced. As per reports, in a Gaushala in Amroha’s Santhalpur dozens of cows suddenly fell ill after they were fed the fodder that was purchased from one Tahir in the village on August 3.

The said Gaushala had 188 cows under its care. On Thursday, the cows started falling sick one by one after consuming the fodder that was purchased the previous day. Over 25 cows have reportedly died in a day while several others are critical. Some media reports say that 55 cows have died so far while over 50 are under treatment.

Amroha DM stated to the media that an FIR has been registered against the person named Tahir who had supplied the fodder for the day. Teams have been formed to nab him. The village Development Officer who was responsible for the maintenance of the said Gaushala has been suspended.

“ACS and Director, Animal Husbandry and Divisional Commissioner, Moradabad have been directed to investigate the incident and submit a report. The incident is very saddening. Anyone found guilty will not be spared”, tweeted UP CM Yogi Adityanath on August 4.

When will Hindu wake up

There is a peom by Hindu sena which I am mentioing here for inspiration:
