"One more": Mutilated body of Hindu boy Deepak, with broken hands, legs, and an eye gouged out, found in a deep pit, arrests of Ejad, Suhan, & Shabir raise haunting questions: Was it over an affair with a Muslim girl or because he witnessed cow slaughter?
In a shocking incident that has rattled the community of Dankaur in Uttar Pradesh, the police made a grim discovery on Wednesday, March 6th. Three individuals, identified as Ejad, Suhan, and Shabir, have been taken into custody for their alleged involvement in the brutal murder of a 16-year-old boy named Deepak, who belonged to the Hindu community.
Deepak's lifeless body was unearthed from a pit that was eight feet deep, located near the banks of the Yamuna River within the vicinity of Arua village, Faridabad. This village is where Deepak once lived and is now the scene of a distressing crime that has left many in mourning.
The three accused, who hail from Sahupura Khadar village in the district of Faridabad, Haryana, have reportedly confessed to committing the heinous act. Their confession reveals a troubling motive; they claim that Deepak was involved in teasing Suhan’s sister, which led them to take his life in retribution.
This alarming revelation was confirmed by the SHO of Chhainsa police station, Inspector Ram Chander, who stated, “The accused have claimed that the boy used to tease Suhan’s sister and that is why they killed him.” Further compounding the tragedy is the fact that two of the individuals implicated in this crime are reported to be minors.
As the investigation into the tragic murder of 16-year-old Deepak unfolds, new details emerge, adding layers to the motive behind this heinous act. Reports have surfaced, pointing towards various allegations made by the accused against Deepak, further complicating the narrative of this distressing incident.
According to another account relayed by the police, it appears that the suspects harbored suspicions about Deepak's involvement with a female member of their family. This suspicion is claimed to be a driving reason for their drastic actions leading to Deepak's death. In addition to this allegation, the accused have also put forward a claim that Deepak's commentary on their family members was a catalyst for the violence enacted upon him.
Despite the various claims made by the accused, the police have maintained a stance of caution, emphasizing that “the exact reason behind the crime will be known only after investigation”. This statement underlines the ongoing nature of the inquiry and the need for thorough investigation to uncover the truth.
The chain of events leading to the discovery of Deepak's murder began with a complaint filed by Deepak's elder brother, Arjun. Concerned about Deepak's whereabouts since February 29, Arjun reported him missing on March 1st, prompting the authorities to register a case of kidnapping.
In a twist that initially misled the investigation, the accused told police that Deepak's body had been disposed of in the Yamuna River. This led to an extensive search operation, with divers being deployed in an effort to locate the body in the river's depths.
However, as the interrogation of the three suspects continued, a chilling confession came to light. The accused admitted to having killed Deepak by strangling him with a muffler. They revealed that following the murder, they concealed his body in an eight-foot-deep pit on the banks of the Yamuna. This revelation redirected the course of the investigation, uncovering the grim reality of Deepak's fate and the calculated efforts to hide the crime.
The authorities have pressed charges of murder against those apprehended in connection with the case. Following their arrest, the accused were brought before a court in Faridabad, where they were remanded into police custody for a day. This initial step in their legal processing saw two of the individuals being transferred to judicial custody, while the third remains under intensive interrogation to shed more light on the circumstances surrounding the crime.
Emerging reports shed light on the distressing doubts harbored by Deepak's family regarding a youth from Sahupura, who allegedly made a shocking phone call confessing to Deepak's murder. It has been suggested that both the elder and younger brothers of the accused were also complicit in this heinous act. Yet, the question of whether Ejad, Suhan, and Shabir have familial ties remains unanswered, casting a shadow of uncertainty over the entire ordeal.

On the ill-fated day of February 29th, a perplexing interaction took place that later unraveled a series of deceptive maneuvers. Ejaz reportedly made a phone call to Deepak, leading to a concerning absence when Deepak failed to return home as expected. When confronted by the anxious family, Ejaz offered a misleading explanation, suggesting that Deepak had left with an unidentified individual on a motorcycle, a claim that sparked further confusion and distress.
Driven by desperation and hope, Deepak's family embarked on an exhaustive search throughout the night, yet their efforts to locate him proved futile. In a bewildering turn of events, Ejaz remained by the family's side during this agonizing period, participating in the search efforts and even assisting in filing a missing person report. This act of apparent solidarity, however, was a facade designed to mislead and divert suspicion away from the grim reality of Deepak's fate.
Suspicion eventually led the police to scrutinize Ejaz more closely, prompting an interrogation that culminated in a confession to the crime. The revelation has since ignited allegations from the family, suggesting that a broader network of individuals might be implicated in this tragic incident.
Body Recovered in a Brutalized State
In a deeply disturbing update related to the tragic demise of 16-year-old Deepak, further details have come to light regarding the condition of his body when it was discovered. It has been reported that Deepak suffered severe injuries, with his hands, legs, and teeth found to be broken. Adding to the horror, one of his eyes was also removed. This gruesome detail highlights the brutal nature of the attack on Deepak and has left the community in shock.
The discovery of Deepak's body was made late at night on the 4th of March, around 1:30 am, by the police and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). A duty magistrate was present at the time, underscoring the seriousness of the situation. Reports indicate that Deepak's body was in a state of decay, suggesting it had been left in the pit for some time before it was finally recovered.
Adding to the grim findings, there are reports from the village council suggesting that the body showed signs of being treated with acid. This horrifying act, presumably done to obscure Deepak's identity, has led to an outcry from the community. The village council has voiced a strong demand for the post-mortem examination to be carried out at PGI Rohtak instead of Nuh. They believe that such measures are necessary to ensure a thorough and unbiased investigation into the true extent of the violence inflicted upon Deepak.
This call for action by the village council reflects the community's desire for justice and accountability in the wake of such a heinous crime. The brutalized state of Deepak's body has not only added to the sorrow of his loved ones but also raised urgent questions about the circumstances leading to his death. As the investigation continues, there is a collective hope for answers and a determination to see that those responsible are held accountable for their actions.
Village Council Warns Administration, Alleging Deepak Had Seen Ejaz Slaughtering Cow
In a recent gathering, the village council, also known as the panchayat, made a strong demand to the police. They have called for the arrest of 15 other individuals who they suspect to have played a role in the tragic death of 16-year-old Deepak.
The village council has issued a stern warning to the police, stating that if their demand is not met by Thursday, they plan to organize a Mahapanchayat. This larger council meeting will be convened to discuss and decide on the next steps to be taken in response to the police's actions or lack thereof. This move indicates the community's readiness to escalate their efforts to ensure justice is served.
Adding to the complexity of the case, a report citing Deepak's grandfather, Advocate Ashok Kumar Chandani, revealed a possible motive for the crime. According to them, Deepak happened to witness an illegal act involving Ejad and his family members. While Deepak was taking a walk near the fields on February 29th, he stumbled upon Ejad and his family engaging in the act of cow slaughter. This practice, being illegal and highly condemned in many communities, is what the villagers believe led to the grim fate that befell Deepak.
The Islamists who killed 16-year-old Deepak, didn't just strangle him, but they also chopped off his ears, his nose, and broke his teeth. Per reports, a total of 18 Islamists killed the poor boy. |
The implication of this allegation is profound. The villagers argue that Deepak's witnessing of such an act placed him in grave danger. Concerned that Deepak might reveal what he had seen, Ejaz, Suhan, Sabir, and possibly others, felt compelled to silence him permanently. As a result, they are accused of orchestrating Deepak's murder, a drastic measure to prevent any potential consequences of their illegal activities becoming public knowledge.
The villagers are adamant that not only Ejaz, Suhan, and Sabir but also other family members of Ejaz were involved in the crime. They are demanding that the police arrest the 15 additional suspects believed to be connected to Deepak's murder. This collective outcry from the village underscores the depth of their grief and their unwavering commitment to seeking justice for Deepak, as they believe that witnessing an act of cow slaughter led to his untimely and violent death.
Bittu Bajrangi Demands Justice for the Family
In a deeply emotional stand, the community has declared that they will not permit the postmortem of Deepak's body until every individual involved in his tragic death has been apprehended. Echoing this sentiment, the village council has set a firm deadline for the police. They demand that all suspects be arrested by Thursday. If this condition is not met, the council plans to organize a Mahapanchayat, a significant assembly that will see participation from people across 12 villages.
Further developments indicate that the investigation into Deepak's murder will now be undertaken by the DLF Crime Branch. This shift signifies the case's complexity and the urgent need for specialized investigative efforts to unravel the truth.
In a significant show of support, Hindu activist Bittu Bajrangi visited Deepak's grieving family. During this visit, the family expressed their demand for the harshest punishment for the accused — capital punishment. In their quest for justice, some family members have also pointed out additional individuals from the Muslim community whom they believe to be involved in the crime.
Amidst tears, Deepak's mother made a heart-wrenching statement: “Ejad killed my son. He should be hanged. I want an eye for an eye,” she lamented, criticizing the police for what she perceives as a lack of prompt action in their investigation.
Adding to the family's allegations, another relative highlighted the brutality of Deepak's murder, stating that his nose and ears were mutilated. This claim adds another layer of horror to the already gruesome details of the crime. A female family member expressed a sentiment of fear and persecution, stating, “They are behind the lives of Hindus,” indicating a belief in targeted violence against their community.
This case has not only brought to light the horrific details of a young boy's murder but has also sparked a broader discussion about justice, communal harmony, and the efficiency of law enforcement in responding to such tragic incidents. The family's demands and the community's mobilization reflect a deep-seated need for closure and justice in the face of unimaginable loss.
