Bollywood entertainer Naseeruddin Shah in his recent interview with The Wire’s Karan Thapar referred to the discussion over Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, responsible for demolishing of Hindu temples and forced religious conversion in recent times as ‘separatism’ policy of ‘ruling party’. He then spoke about the recent ‘Dharma Sansad’ that was held in Haridwar where people present there were accused of ‘hate speech'.

Two weeks after allegations of hate speech surfaced against the 3-day ‘Dharma Sansad’ event held in Haridwar, a 5-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted by the Uttarakhand govt to probe the accusations made in the case.

Angered by inaction against conversion, Hindus of Ganj Basoda threw stones at a Christian school in Madhya Pradesh. The school had allegedly converted 8 poor Hindu children, a video of which went viral on social media. NCPCR had directed the district administration to look into the issue. Some of the locals who were protesting in front of the school reportedly threw stones at the building.

Pastor Father Lawrence has been handed a life imprisonment sentence by a POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) court in Mumbai for the horrific crime of sodomizing a 13-year-old inside Govandi’s Christ the King Church. The incident dates back to the year 2015 when the minor was subject to multiple instances of sexual assaults leaving him scarred and bleeding. The victim continues to suffer from hallucinations and nightmares following the assault and is still under treatment.

When Bharat got independence from the British yoke in 1947, the first thing that should have been brought on the priority of the socio-political spectrum of the country should have been the history of Bharat that the generations of the country we're supposed to study in schools, colleges, universities and thereafter.

A writ petition has been filed in the Supreme Court demanding action against alleged instances of hate speeches against Muslims in the country. Islamic organization Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind and religious activist Maulana Syed Mahmood Asad Madani have filed the petition at the apex court.
