This decisive turn of events was finalized following a series of joint high-level meetings between Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh, alongside CJP representatives Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das.

This major political development transpired shortly after Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan submitted his official resignation earlier in the day, thereby fulfilling the central demand laid out by the demonstrator movement. Beyond the leadership change, the government has agreed in principle to the CJP's additional core conditions. These conditions explicitly mandate the complete withdrawal of all legal cases previously filed against peaceful protesters, as well as the immediate provision of financial compensation to the grieving families of students who tragically committed suicide following the cancellation of the NEET-UG examination due to widespread paper leak incidents.

Speaking at a joint press conference to detail the terms of the agreement, Union Minister JP Nadda emphasized that the official dialogue was comprehensive and directly addressed every concern brought forward by the political leadership of the protest. “The delegation gave us a written draft with four points related to the ongoing cases. We also discussed their other demands, including no retaliatory action, compensation for the affected families, and consideration of their five-point charter,” he stated.

Addressing the critical topic of legal protections and law enforcement records, Minister Nadda reassured the public and the demonstrators that full transparency would be maintained. He confirmed that the administration will swiftly issue copies of all official First Information Reports (FIRs) registered in connection with the demonstration events, promising that no further punitive actions or investigative proceedings will be pursued against any of the participating individuals. Touching upon the sensitive subject of monetary compensation for the affected student families, Nadda expressed deep sympathy on behalf of the administration, remarking, “The government also shares the pain of the affected families. Compensation will be given as per the rules, and the maximum possible help will be provided.”

Furthermore, the CJP delegation formally submitted a comprehensive 5-point charter aimed at executing fundamental structural reforms across the national education and examination systems. Minister Nadda affirmed that the government intends to evaluate these structural proposals with extreme gravity and thoroughness. Elaborating on the procedural approach, he declared, “The five-point charter is related to reforms in education examinations. Regarding it, we have to say that we will think deeply about your charter for reforms in education examinations and after talking to your delegation, we will try to do whatever we can.”

Reiterating that the administration has yielded to the core concerns raised throughout the agitation, Minister Nadda concluded his address by underscoring the government's empathetic stance: “So these were their demands. I think the government has sympathetically considered all the demands they had made and has also accepted them.”

CJP Officially Confirms Complete Cessation of Agitation

Directly following the public confirmation by the Union Minister regarding the government's total acceptance of their conditions, CJP Chief Spokesperson Saurav Das alongside National Spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka formally declared the immediate suspension of all protest activities. Expressing the party's official position, Das stated, “Cockroach Janta Party declares that we withdraw the agitation in good faith, with the understanding that the agreed-upon terms will be executed within the agreed-upon timelines.” In light of this resolution, both spokespersons jointly issued a direct call to all active gathering groups situated at the Jantar Mantar protest site to immediately wrap up their assemblies and disperse peacefully.

Detailing the legal specifics of the agreement, Das clarified that the Central Government has committed to nullifying FIRs registered against demonstrators not only within Delhi but across all BJP-ruled and BJP-allied state jurisdictions as well. He noted that official assurances guarantee the distribution of copies for all existing FIRs—estimated to number between 15 to 20 within Delhi alone—within a period of three to four days. Additionally, a binding written guarantee detailing all mutual agreements is projected to be formally delivered by Tuesday.

Echoing these directives, CJP National Spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka appealed directly to the mass gathering of supporters, urging everyone to head back to their respective homes without conflict. Reinforcing that their foundational objectives had been achieved, he noted that further organizational direction would follow in due course. “All our demands have been accepted, so we request the protesters to withdraw immediately and return home peacefully. Even as the active street demonstrations draw to a formal close, the CJP remains steadfast in its intent to secure the full implementation of its broader educational and examination reform frameworks. Ranka revealed that official talks between party representatives and central leaders are already slated to resume in the coming weeks to systematically address these long-term systemic updates. “We also placed a five-point demand charter before the government, which talked about broader educational reforms and exam reforms. We will meet the government again in about four weeks regarding that demand charter so that we can work together on broader reforms,” he explained.

The final breakthrough was achieved after Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh engaged in three distinct rounds of rigorous negotiations with the visiting CJP delegation, reaching a complete consensus at the conclusion of the third meeting today. Throughout these discussions, the CJP maintained three unyielding primary demands: the immediate resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the unconditional dropping of all criminal charges and cases lodged against demonstrators and organizers, and the disbursement of ₹1 crore in financial assistance to each family who lost a student in the aftermath of the NEET-UG cancellation.
