In a distressing incident that has gripped the community of Paldi village, under the jurisdiction of Shahpur police station, a 15-year-old boy has been arrested for the murder of 50-year-old Hakeem Najakat, who had a controversial past, including charges of cow slaughter and attempted murder. This case has sparked intense discussions on the harsh realities of crime and retribution within the region.

The sequence of events began to unfold on May 20th when Sadaqat, son of Farooq, formally reported to the Shahpur police that his brother, Najakat alias Nazu, had been brutally killed. Sadaqat detailed that the assailant, who remained unidentified at the time, had used a sharp weapon to commit the murder. Reacting to the grave report, the Shahpur police swiftly registered the case, mobilizing teams under the guidance of seasoned senior officials to ensure the prompt and thorough investigation of this heinous crime.
After diligent investigative efforts, on May 25th, 2024, the police successfully apprehended the main suspect, marking a significant breakthrough in the case. The evidence crucial to linking the suspect to the crime, including a knife presumed to be the murder weapon and the victim’s broken mobile phone, was recovered, corroborating the details of the gruesome act.
Further inquiries revealed a dark backdrop to this murder. On May 19th, Hakeem Najakat, also familiarly known as Naju, was killed by a 15-year-old boy in a deeply troubling context. The arrested minor claimed that Najakat had sexually assaulted him, brutally raped him and even filmed the whole rape incident. This video was subsequently used by Najakat to blackmail the young boy, subjecting him to repeated rape and violations that continued over a period. Overcome with anger and despair, the minor eventually retaliated by taking the life of his abuser.
Currently, the young boy is in police custody, and the investigation into this shocking incident is ongoing. The authorities are meticulously piecing together all facets of the case to understand the full scope of the events that led to this tragic outcome. The community, while distressed, awaits the judicial process to unfold, hoping for justice and the restoration of peace.
In the grim and unsettling case of Hakeem Najakat's murder in Paldi village, crucial evidence continues to come to light. Najakat's damaged cell phone was discovered by the police at the scene, a significant piece in piecing together the events leading to his death. His body was found in a room that was locked from the outside, within the confines of his own home, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Shahpur police station.

Superintendent of Police (rural) Aditya Bansal provided insights into the investigative process: "The room was locked from outside. The corpse was sent for a post-mortem by the police and the minor boy was apprehended and questioned. The murder weapon and Hakeem’s mobile phone were recovered from the location revealed by him." This indicates a thorough and methodical approach by the authorities in examining all forensic evidence crucial to the case.
Further deepening the complexity of the case, a formal charge was made under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, emphasizing the serious nature of the investigation. On May 20th, authorities were alerted to the gruesome scene where they found Najakat's partially nude and blood-soaked body, indicating a violent altercation.
Hakeem Najakat, who worked as a "hakeem" (a traditional Muslim doctor) and was involved in occult practices, had a criminal history that included half a dozen crimes such as culpable homicide, attempted murder, and cow slaughter. These elements of his past are now key components in understanding the motives and circumstances surrounding his murder.
As the investigation unfolds, the local community and authorities are eager for justice and clarity in a case that has shocked and disturbed many, revealing the dark undercurrents that can flow beneath the surface of small village life. The legal proceedings continue to attract attention, promising further revelations in this tragic and convoluted case.
The accused disclosed that four months ago, Hakeem Najakat had lured him away. He then proceeded to scare, molest and rape him. Najakat also recored the whole rape incident on camera and used it as leverage to threaten him and repeatedly rape the teenager. Najakat even used knife and country-made firearm to intimidate him. On the fateful day when his wife and children were not home, Najakat called the boy there and once again attempted to rape him. Najakat even physically assaulted the boy when he resisted. The minor then attacked Najakat in self-defence. He used a dao (a kind of sword-like weapon), which was kept nearby to strike the man multiple times on his head.

After the murder of Hakeem Najakat in Muzaffarnagar, the young perpetrator took careful steps to conceal his actions. "The minor then washed the weapon, his hands and feet," effectively attempting to remove any forensic evidence. Furthermore, in an effort to ensure no incriminating evidence remained, "he also broke the phone which he assumed contained his vulgar footage with a stake," and then stealthily exited "out of the house through the roof."
In a calculated move to hide the murder weapon, "the boy hid the murder weapon in the ruins located in front of the mosque." Initially stumped by the case, the police referred to it as a "blind murder case." However, as the inquiry concluded, "the name of a 25-year-old boy from the same village surfaced," explained Brijesh Kumar, the officer in charge at the police station. Upon arrest and interrogation, the youth "admitted to the crime."
The severity of the case escalated as "the teenager has been reportedly charged with murder after the man's family filed a police report." Adding to the grave nature of the allegations, "Weeks ago, the deceased had sodomised the minor and recorded an obscene video clip," stated Superintendent of Police (Rural) Aditya Bansal, emphasizing the horrific cycle of abuse that preceded the crime.
The boy claimed that the victim who had repeatedly sexually harassed him, was blackmailing him. “On Monday, the man forced the boy to come to his home after threatening to upload his video online. As he was being harassed, the boy picked up a sharp object lying next to him and attacked the man's head and throat," the SP said. The Shahpur police have successfully resolved a murder case by taking one juvenile offender into custody. Based on the juvenile's information, one murder weapon (a knife) and the deceased's broken mobile phone were recovered. Under the campaign led by Senior Superintendent of Police Abhishek Singh for the arrest of notorious criminals in the district, and under the close supervision of Superintendent of Police (Rural) Aditya Bansal, along with the leadership of Circle Officer Budhana Gajendra Pal Singh and Station House Officer of Shahpur, Brijesh Kumar Sharma, the Shahpur police successfully unveiled the murder case by apprehending the juvenile offender near Basi's bridge. The knife and the deceased's broken mobile phone were recovered based on the juvenile's disclosure. The Shahpur police are proceeding with further legal actions.
