Sports teacher Parvez Alam arrested of raping an 8th standard 13-year-old boy at a private school in Jamshedpur: matter came to light on when the minor attempted suicide

A shocking case has been reported from the Kadma area of Jamshedpur in Jharkhand where Parvez Alam, who is a sports teacher at a private school, is accused of raping an 8th standard boy.

The matter came to light on May 1 when the minor attempted suicide.

The victim’s relatives stopped him from taking the extreme step. The victim narrated the entire sequence of events to his family members when asked about the reason for attempting suicide. He said Parvez Alam was sexually abusing him for the past 5 months.

On Monday, the family members stormed into the school and beat up Parvez Alam. Later, they handed over the accused to the police and filed a report against him.

The minor boy also said the accused used to exploit him and threatened him with dire consequences if he revealed the truth to anyone. Unable to confide in anyone in the family regarding the trauma, the depressed boy attempted suicide.

The police have initiated a probe against the accused.

According to the Kadma Police officer-in-charge Manoj Kumar Thakur, the accused has confessed to sexually exploiting the minor on 2-3 occasions.

Thakur said the matter will be investigated further on the basis of a detailed statement from the victim and medical test reports.
