Lata Mangeshkar Birth Anniversary 2022: Lata Mangeshkar was born on September 28, 1929. Lata Mangeshkar died on February 6 this year in a Mumbai hospital. Today is the 93rd birthday (birth anniversary) of the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, and Lata Mangeshkar chowk was inaugurated today by Chief Minister Yogi.

From today, the Nayaghat bound Ramnagari intersection will now be known as Lata Mangeshkar Chauraha. All the guests at the opening ceremony of this intersection arrive at the main venue of Ramkatha Park. Where tribute was paid to Lata ji. After this, Lata’s nephew, Adinath Mangeshkar, and her daughter-in-law, Krishna Mangeshkar, were welcomed. In the course of the program, Lata anthems were introduced by the eminent singer Savani Ravindra Maharashtra. A short film showing the construction of Lata Mangeshkar Chowk was also screened.

Noida-based architect Ranjan Mohanti has designed the Lata Mangeshkar Chowk. A 40-ft-long and 12-metre-high classical Indian instrument Veena, weighing 14 tonnes, has been installed at the intersection. The Veena has been designed by master sculptor Ram Vanji Sutar, who designed the Statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue, in Gujarat.
Initially, saints of Ayodhya had opposed renaming an Ayodya crossing in the name of Lata Mangeshkar. Instead, they wanted the famous Naya Ghat crossing to be renamed after Jagatguru Ramanandacharya.
However, saints agreed after the chief minister assured them to rename other places and roads in Ayodhya in the name of famous seers.
