"दूधो नहाओ, पूतों फलो": With her shocking role in the TCS Nashik sexual abuse and religious coercion scandal finally exposed, an absconding Nida Khan is now frantically using this new pregnancy to desperately plead for bail

The ongoing investigation into the deeply concerning case of sexual exploitation and religious coercion at a Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) BPO center in Nashik, Maharashtra, has seen a new development. Nida Khan, one of the two female suspects implicated in the controversy, is reportedly preparing to seek legal protection. Currently branded as an absconder, the police have been actively looking for her as she evades arrest. However, recent reports indicate that she is set to file a plea for anticipatory bail before a local court in Nashik.

Her legal defense is expected to rely heavily on medical grounds; it is reported that Khan is expecting her first child, and she is planning to make her pregnancy the primary justification for seeking this anticipatory bail.
Providing an alternative perspective, her relatives have spoken to the Hindustan Times, an authentic national daily. While they acknowledged and confirmed her pregnancy, her family strongly rejected the widespread reports claiming she worked in the Human Resources department of the BPO. Defending her professional position, her family asserted, "her designation was that of a tele-caller and that she was part of the sales team," effectively distancing her from any authoritative role. To further this point, they clarified that she joined the BPO relatively recently, in 2021, and was not among the senior employees. Furthermore, her family categorically denied allegations that she is a fugitive. They maintain that she is not running away from the police and has been at her home all along, adding the claim that no policeman has shown up at their house so far to apprehend her.

The Background of Nida Khan
To understand her alleged involvement, it is essential to look at her reported professional background. Nida Khan completed her higher education as a graduate of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). Despite her family's claims to the contrary, numerous reports allege that she was, in fact, working as the Human Resources (HR) manager at the BPO. More crucially, she was reportedly a part of the company’s Internal Complaints Committee (ICC). Khan has emerged as a key figure in the scandal, and serious allegations have been levelled against her in connection with the controversy. The official FIR details a highly distressing incident where Nida Khan told one of the victims that the Shivling represented male genitalia and that worshipping it was obscene. It has been reported that her role at the BPO directly encompassed addressing employee grievances, maintaining overall workplace safety, and ensuring strict adherence to the regulations stipulated by the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Act. Tragically, several victims of the sexual exploitation and religious conversion scandal at the TCS BPO have stated in their formal FIRs that their regular complaints of harassment were completely disregarded by those in charge. Adding to their distress, some complainants said that they were placed under immense pressure to either comply with their abusers or keep quiet.

Details of the BPO Controversy
The broader controversy surrounding the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) facility of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Maharashtra’s Nashik has embroiled the corporate community ever since the massive sexual exploitation and religious conversion scandal came to light. The disturbing truth was finally unearthed through an undercover operation conducted by some women cops at the BPO facility. Their covert investigation revealed a horrifying reality: a group of Muslim employees at the facility, importantly including two women, had been actively targeting its female employees by subjecting them to severe sexual abuse and systematic religious coercion. The abuse was not limited to female staff; the victims also included a male employee who alleged he faced religious persecution by his Muslim seniors and colleagues.
This dramatic exposure prompted the local police to take immediate action by forming a Special Investigation Team (SIT) dedicated exclusively to investigating the matter. The SIT's ongoing efforts have yielded significant numbers so far: a total of nine FIRs have been registered by the police in connection with the case, and eight accused individuals, including a woman, have been successfully arrested. Currently, the police are intensifying their search, looking for the one absconding woman accused.
Recently, in response to the gravity of the ongoing criminal investigation, the operations at the BPO facility were abruptly suspended, and all the employees were officially instructed to work from home.
