Raxaul: A Tragedy Beyond Comprehension Surpasses the 'Nirbhaya Case'

In the quiet town of Raxaul, a harrowing incident has emerged, casting a long shadow over the community and echoing the infamous 'Nirbhaya case' in its brutality. This new atrocity, involving the cruel treatment of a 12-year-old minor girl, has stirred a wave of shock and dismay, profoundly disturbing the local residents and anyone who hears of it.

The latest case details the suffering of a 12-year-old girl who was subjected to a horrific ordeal. For four agonizing days, she was gang-raped repeatedly after being forcibly injected with drugs. The perpetrators released her only with a chilling threat aimed at her and her family: she was warned that speaking out about the torment would cost her her life.

Despite the overwhelming fear and danger, the minor girl's mother, together with her maternal uncle, bravely broke the silence and sought the help of the local authorities. Their courageous act brought this dreadful incident to light, prompting immediate action from the police.

The preliminary investigation revealed distressing details about the abduction and subsequent events. On Thursday, May 9, the victim was forcibly taken from her locality in Raxaul. The main suspects in this cruel act are identified as Sohail Ansari and Jitendra Kumar. Sohail, the son of Salauddin Ansari, hails from Ward No. 5 of Hardiya Panchayat in the jurisdiction of the Raxaul police station. His associate, Jitendra, is from Navka Tola.

The nightmare for the minor girl began in an unsuspecting location—a house within a slipper factory operating along the bypass of Raxaul. It was here that she endured repeated assaults. To mute her cries for help, the perpetrators resorted to drugging her into unconsciousness. "She was given an injection to make her unconscious," confirmed sources from both the police and the hospital. The pattern was vicious and consistent: "Whenever she regained consciousness, she was given injections," the victim reported. During these moments, unimaginable acts of brutality were inflicted upon her.

This relentless torment spanned four harrowing days. On the evening of the fourth day, which was a Sunday, the assailants shifted her to Ramgarhwa. They callously informed her family, "Your daughter is here, come and take her." As her family arrived to retrieve their traumatized daughter, they too faced dire threats from the culprits: "If you tell anything to anyone, you will be killed."

Upon her return home that same Sunday evening, the severity of her condition was heartbreakingly evident—there was excessive bleeding from her private parts, a stark testament to the cruelty she had suffered. Witnessing the dire state of her daughter, her mother mustered immense bravery and took her to the Raxaul police station. The local police promptly acknowledged the severity of the case and acted swiftly. The victim was immediately transported to the sub-divisional hospital for urgent care. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of the medical staff, her condition continued to worsen, highlighting the severe impact of the ordeal she had endured.

As the medical team battled to stabilize the minor girl's condition, the severity of her injuries necessitated further medical intervention. Initially treated at a local facility, she was soon referred to Motihari for more specialized care. Given the complexity of her condition, she was transferred once more, this time to Muzaffarpur. Presently, she is being treated at SKMCH hospital, where her condition remains critical. "Currently, the victim is undergoing treatment at SKMCH hospital, where her condition is said to be critical," relayed hospital sources, emphasizing the gravity of her situation.

In response to this heinous crime, local law enforcement has been actively pursuing those responsible. A significant breakthrough occurred when the police conducted a raid and managed to apprehend Jitendra Kumar, one of the accused. He was subsequently sent to judicial custody, marking a critical step in the legal proceedings.

Back at the Raxaul police station, the case, registered under case number 167/24, is being vigorously pursued. The search continues not only for the remaining fugitive but also for those who may have assisted him in any capacity. SHO Rajiv Nandan Sinha confirmed the ongoing efforts, stating, "After registering the case, the police is taking necessary action." Further adding to the investigative momentum, DSP Dhirendra Kumar disclosed, "Some more clues have been found, on the basis of which action is being taken." This suggests that the police are piecing together additional evidence to ensure that all individuals connected to this appalling act are brought to justice.

The Victim's Terrifying Reaction to Hospital Injections

A chilling scene unfolds at the hospital where the gang-rape victim was brought for urgent medical care. Already traumatized, the minor girl exhibited an acute fear of injections—a reaction stemming from the horrendous abuse she endured. "When the girl, victim of gang rape, was brought to the hospital for treatment, she was getting scared even on seeing the injections," shared a concerned medical staffer. This fear is understandable, given the physical evidence: "Injection marks have been found at many places on her body," a grim reminder of how "the monsters made her unconscious by injecting her wherever they got the chance."

Her ordeal in the hospital became even more heart-wrenching during treatment. As medical personnel attempted to administer pain relief through injections, "she was screaming repeatedly," a reaction that not only indicates her immense physical pain but also her profound psychological trauma. An anonymous hospital employee expressed his shock and deep disturbance over the case, revealing, "This is the first such case in his lifetime that he has seen in which all limits of brutality have been crossed."

The extent of the violence inflicted upon her was horrifyingly evident in the condition of her body. "The private part of the girl's body was completely damaged, whose treatment was not possible here," the source added somberly. The victim's repeated bouts of unconsciousness due to excessive bleeding were a testament to the severity of her injuries and the urgent need for specialized medical intervention.

This case has not only shaken the medical professionals who are striving to save her but has also reverberated through the community.

Police Engaged in Investigation Using Scientific Method

Raxaul: In the wake of the brutal gang rape incident in the border area, local police are employing scientific methods to conduct a thorough investigation. The officers, however, have been reticent with the media, "avoiding media questions," and "not saying anything openly in this matter."

The pressure on law enforcement is palpable as they face continuous inquiries about their progress. Police station in-charge Rajeev Nandan Sinha has been frequently mentioned as he deflects these queries, focusing on "talking to senior officers" amid the barrage of questions. Similarly, DSP Dhirendra Kumar has maintained a reserved stance, "not saying anything specific about the case."

According to reliable police sources, the immediate objective of the investigation is clear and pressing. The capture of Sohail Ansari, a key suspect named in the case, is paramount. "The priority of the police is this," one source emphasized. The authorities believe that securing his arrest could be pivotal, as "after his arrest, other people related to this case may be revealed."

Demand for Speedy Trial and Death Penalty for the Culprits is Rising

The appalling gang rape of a 12-year-old girl in Raxaul has ignited a fervent public outcry for swift justice and the harshest penalties for the culprits involved. This incident marks "the first case of such brutality in the area of Raxaul in several decades," which has profoundly disturbed the community and spurred a demand for immediate action.

The local population, shaken by the severity of the crime, is vocal in their call for a speedy trial and the implementation of the death penalty for those responsible. "People are demanding speedy trial and death penalty for the accused," reflects the intense communal desire for justice and a deterrent against such heinous acts in the future.

According to reports, the accused have a history of criminal behavior that includes manipulating and threatening young girl. "The accused involved in this incident used to commit such incidents by luring girls into their trap and later they were silenced by threatening them," reveals the method of operation that led to multiple victims being exploited under duress.

Moreover, it has come to light that one of the accused posed as a journalist (YouTuber) to exploit many orchestra operators along the border. This individual not only extorted money but also demanded that the operators provide girls. "In this, one accused used to exploit many orchestra operators operating in the border area by calling himself a journalist (YouTuber)."

The deceit went further as the "accused youth used to exploit girls sometimes by posing as a policeman and sometimes as a journalist." Alongside these egregious acts, it was also uncovered that "other accused involved in his gang also do drug business." The police had been aware of their activities, and now, in light of this brutal crime, the urgency to capture the culprits has intensified. "The police was continuously getting news about them, meanwhile, after this case came to light, the accused is absconding. Raids are going on for his arrest."
